Express Yourself!

Today's post is going to be a sensory explosion! While writing it I had on some music and literally it made me happy and in a celebratory mood.  So I figure I should let you in on the fun,  While reading this post you need to be playing the song I've posted below for the full effect!  It would make such a cute background song on a wedding video!

Decorating your space can sometimes seem like a hugely expensive overwhelming task. How do you fill a a space that most likely is a fairly cavernous blank slate and give the room a fun party feel? I give you the banner or bunting as it's known to some. Not only does it allow you to be creative and original a you like, it can hang anywhere, have cute sayings, and be any colour(s) or pattern you like! I've included a tutorial at the end for a sparkly word banner as well!

Whether you want use triangles, squares, circles, fabric, paper, its so simple and quick to make, you can always buy pre-made strands, but where's the fun in that?? Sit your fiancee down and get him cutting!  You don't need a Masters in crafting to cut a triangle.   The triangle fabric bunting tutorial can be found here.

Now for the reception space, use banners anywhere and everywhere!  Strung from the ceiling, along tables, on the wall, on the cake, announcing different spaces such as dessert table, or guest book.  Incorporate some cute sayings, "Love is Sweet" "You are beautiful" "Happily Ever after" "All You Need is Love" etc.  

 

Perhaps you are having a more glamorous wedding, why not use metallic paper in gold or silver, or even  a sparkly banner like this, which could be done in a ton of other colours too!  The step by step instruction on how to make this can be found here.
