Ah the glitz and the glamour! The ladies were looking lovely....mostly (Gabourey Sidibe fire your stylist now!)...There were definitely a few standout trends I loved. I think compared to some years, this years red carpet fashion was quite exciting. The pregnant celebs looked absolutely gorgeous with their cute baby bumps, Natalie Portman in Viktor and Rolf (she totally deserved the win!), and Jenna Krakowski in a slinky pale blue Badgley Mishka!
There was a return to long sleeves which was refreshing, though It's taken me the entire award ceremony to get on board with Angelina Jolie's 80's-ish looking number. Anne Hathaway looked all grown up in her Armani Prive, umm coould she be any sexier with all that backlessness??? I'm sure she is going to get destroyed on Fashion lists but I personally liked Leighton Meester in Burberry, she could of gone with the typical sparkly gown, but the subdued tones and sexiness of her frock intrigued me!
Probably my absolute favourite look of the night was the minimalist approach taken by Emma Stone and Claire Danes. They both looked total gorgeous and their naturally beauty shone through. Of course, they were both in Calvin Klein Collection.
There were a few dresses that defied any categories, Julianne Moore in hot pink Lanvin was so fashion I die (just ignore the annoying wrinkles) and Jennifer Lopez had a breathtaking white moment with Zuhair Murad! Sexiest pick of the night would go to January Jones in a va va voom fringe red gown by Versace (not a big designer choice surprise since she is the face of their new ad campaign.)
