Evening Inspiration

I feel like I have been bad little blogger, I promise I will try my very hardest to get back to regularly posting! I've been working tons! But no more excuses, I have been inspired by a dress, it is my love and it is Wedding Wednesday (the best day of the week, non?)  I get that perhaps not everyone will fall head over heels in love with this dress as much as I have.  It's a little different but there is something so elegant and sexy about it! I imagine a nighttime affair, stars in the sky candles on the tables, a cocktail in hand as a jazz trio plays in the background, the woman decked out in their finest attire and highest heels, men in impeccably cut suits with freshly polished shoes and gleaming Piaget watches.  It would be a evening to remember!

By Halston Heritage, this dress moves so beautifully, you simply must click here and watch the video of the model in it!

Since this is your wedding, plain white pumps are just simply not going to do!  The cut of this dress is just begging to show off a pair of beautiful heels.  I found these Guiseppe Zanotti babies at Neiman Marcus, yes my keyboard is now covered in drool.  It made me laugh that the shoes cost more than the dress!

Hair and makeup:  I'd do a bold red lip paired with soft updo, perhaps this braided one?  Throw in a vintage style jeweled clip from Shopbop of course!

Okay, lets get down to the details-The venue obviously somewhere oozing in glamor, I racked my brain and then it hit me....The Banyan Tree Hotel's Vertigo and Moon bar in Bangkok.  Yes it's a bit of a destination, but totally worth it, open air dining 61 floors up!  I would put hurricane vases filled with pillar candles everywhere to add an amazing ambiance to the space.

I've always been a big believer in pairing over the top high heeled glamour with fun casual elements that will put everyone at ease!  So this wedding will have the most fabulous ice cream sundae bar!

Okay Luvvies, that is my wedding inspiration for the day!  Enjoy!
